Joe with
Ramming Speed at BattleBots in Nov '01

Mike and Joe with Ramming Speed at BattleBots in May '01

Following are ideas for bots, or series of bots. You should be able to tell by the names that I'm looking to have some fun with this.

The 'Growing Up' Series

Bundle of Joy

A small light-weight pusher/rammer. Would have a baby in a basket mounted to the top. A speaker would play the screaming/crying sounds of a baby. Baby would be on a tether and would pop up out of the basket every time the bot hit something.

Crib of Death

A middle-weight based on a crib. Perhaps the sides of the crib slide down and trap the opponent underneath. Crib would have mobiles dangling over it.

Wicked Walker

A heavy-weight based on a child's walker. Conical in shape with a doll strapped into it, it would be a spinner. A bit of a play on words, since most people would be expecting a bot that walks.

Please Don't Kill Billy

A super heavy-weight based on a 'Big Wheel' or a tricycle.

The 'Kynda Lyka' Series

Kynda Lyka Tank

Kynda Lyka Howitzer

Kynda Lyka Steam-Roller

Hamster Powered

Tank steering pusher/rammer with a third wheel  made of a hamster ball. Bot will appear to be powered by a hamster in the ball. The hamster name will be, what else, SPG (If you don't get it, don't even ask)!

These are some obscure references, or just phrases that I find funny, maybe for a bot name:

bulletYou're Gonna What?
bulletPlease God, Help Me!
bulletStop Doing That
bulletLeave Me Alone
bulletKill Me? Kill You!
bulletLook out for the Sharp Thingies
bulletLordy Lordy my Bottom's on Fire
bulletWhat Did You Call Me?
bulletRespect My Athorataay
bulletPardon Me!
bulletOutta My Way
bulletAngle of Attack
