I arrived on Saturday, November 3rd. Staying at the Four Points Sheraton in Emeryville (Oakland side of the Bay Bridge). Nice hotel, and may builders are staying their due to rate reductions arranged by BattleBots.

Spent the first day walking about the area, since their appears to be a lot within walking distance. Got a fruit shake at a place that blends each one individually with a dozen different varieties. Stopped at Burger King, only a block away from the hotel. Then, I found the 'Public Market', which is a food court like I've never seen before. I walked in and was overcome buy a range of delicious scents. Their must be two dozen different vendors with every type of food you can imagine. Lucky me, having just eaten at Burger King. I must make it back a few times and sample the cuisine. Found a bar with about a dozen pool tables, sure to come in handy one of these nights. 

Got back to the hotel, and settled in for some beers with other builders in small lounge bar. Great to see familiar faces, and meet with many builders for the first time.
