Saturday, elimination and quarter-finals today. The second session was possibly the best session I've ever seen. One heavy-weight fight resulted in an awesome 'explosion', with parts flying everywhere. One part flew up and broke a camera mounted in the ceiling. In a super-heavy-weight fight, a huge gash was cut into one of the Lexan sheets that form the wall of the box (the lowest 4' utilizes 2 laminated 1/2" sheets), while another sheet was actually cracked all the way through. They temporarily duct-tapped a piece of Lexan over the gash, and continued the fights. 

Back at the hotel afterwards a large number of builders gathered for drinks, and a few had brought ant-weight bots that everyone took turns fighting on a coffee table. Their will definitely be more ant-weights at the next event, including one I plan to construct! I also brought down my 'Super Rebound' RC car and let some of the kids drive it around the lobby. It's really torquey (sp?), which makes it a lot of fun.
